A little more about me...
The Full Story
Wes grew up in the small town of Edson, Alberta. He was raised on hunting, fishing, camping and the sounds of classic and modern country music coming from the AM waves of 790 CFCW in Edmonton. He got his first guitar at the age of 12 and began consuming and trying to play all genres of music, particularly punk rock during high school! After turning 18 (legal to enter a bar in Alberta!) he discovered karaoke, and could regularly be found singing his favorite songs in a dimly lit bar. He and his highschool sweetheart Jenn made their way to the big city of Edmonton, where they got married and started a family. Wes began a career as a plumber which eventually led to their move out to Vancouver Island. A series of intentional things set in motion a chance to slow things down and an opportunity to explore music like never before. 2026 became a huge year; following the release of the song "Waste of Good Whisky", Wes began playing in front of people at open mic sessions, graduating to some house concerts, booking gigs at local pubs, and a stellar opportunity to open for Mitch Zorn at Campbell River Live Streets Rockin' River Country Night. The music bug officially took a bite, and Wes is looking forward to a fun and unique future of singing and playing for audiences for years to come.
